WHEN LAST WE MET… The Golden Knights and Wild met eight times in the 2020-21 regular season and Vegas posted a 3-4-1 record in those games. Vegas defeated Minnesota in seven games in the Stanley Cup Playoffs First Round last season. Mattias Janmark registered his first NHL hat trick in Game 7.

A VEGAS VICTORY WOULD… -   Mark the 181st win in franchise history -   Give Vegas two wins in two games to start its homestand

KEYS TO THE GAME Depth Scoring: Head Coach Pete DeBoer has praised the third and fourth lines for their defensive effectiveness and ability to take on elevated roles. Those units will want to translate their defensive success to tangible results on the scoresheet.

Weather the Storm: The Wild scored twice in the first period Wednesday night and another three times in the second period against the Coyotes. Vegas has been good at weathering early storms from opponents and will likely have to do it again against Minnesota.
